Tamar Braxton is sure about one thing, as seen in her lengthy post on her Instagram account Thursday night: Anytime she’s in a car with her new husband, Vince Herbert, she knows she should buckle up.
On Thursday night, the “Braxton Family Values” star shared an image on her social media page that depicted a scary situation her husband and two children had to go through on their way back from the airport in Atlanta. The three were in a Honda Civic when the rear door smashed, a view the reality star shared to her fans.
“Keep in mind, this was a parent chauffeured ride. Our little ones got out of the car with their knees and elbows out to open the door,” she said. “This is something that we will NEVER EVER do. Safety 1.”
It is unclear what happened, but Tamar shared a rather startling story from the incident:
“That next morning, there was this beautiful beautiful spot in an empty parking lot full of beautiful flowers, a really sweet guy up there with a pillow, a roll of toilet paper, gloves and wipers. We sat there and looked at the flowers and talked,” Tamar said in her post. “I can’t even imagine. My children deserved to be in our car. I felt safe up there.”
Tamar continued, “Then the very next day, I am getting on my plane and you come and tear this place up in your SUV with your kids. There’s no way. It feels like how you choose to live. The story I came to the realization is this: So you want my space and you’re all ‘all cool’ but all you care about is cutting me off, flipping me off, losing me on the highway and making me pay for it. Don’t you know my children are in my car? Maybe I can get a ticket? Yeah, right. I’m going to get another ticket in a gas station. You are a special type of idiot.”
The “The Real” co-host also joked that she needed to borrow a ‘zipper key’ that would stop the car.
“You would think you would learn your lesson,” she joked. “Do you really think women don’t hold the keys to their car?”
Tamar and Vince have been married since January 2015, and with recent successes on her reality series, she credited Vince’s support for the family’s happiness.
“I am truly blessed to have you and [her children Logan, 9, and Ryan, 5]. You make this child be everything to me. Even though he does not understand and laugh at the absurdity of the situation, Ryan is taken care of and is safe, and I have a beautiful husband of a lifetime,” she concluded her post. “He is a rock, an example of the best who is worthy of being in a woman’s life. Thank you for making me a better woman.”
